This week we have been talking and learning all about Christopher Columbus! We’ve read some different books and had great discussions about how life was back when Christopher Columbus was alive! Today we got to choose what we wanted to do when it came to our activities about our Core Knowledge topic. At one table you could color and cut out pictures of Christopher Columbus and his three ships, the Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. We worked hard today to remember those three names! At another table we got to build log cabins like the settlers who traveled with Christopher Columbus did.🪵 At a third table we colored a world map based off our felt map in the classroom since we have been talking about different countries and continents that Christopher Columbus found and what he was trying to find. 🗺 at a fourth table we used magnet tiles to try to build our own ships like the ones Christopher Columbus sailed back in 1492!
