Parental Involvement

Parental involvement encourages interactions between parent and child that are specifically about the child’s learning. The Southwest Educational Development Laboratory reports that children of parents who are involved in their child’s education earn higher grades, attend school regularly, have better social skills, and continue their education at a higher level.  At Kaleidoscope, we value parents and include them as a key component in their child’s success.  Kaleidoscope involves parents through:  frequent communication, volunteering opportunities, learning at home, decision making, and community collaboration.
